Aging Well, An Infographic

On April 24, 2012, the American Architectural Foundation hosted a Twitter chat on design for aging. During the chat, Philips (@LivableCities) shared the following infographic from the Philips Center for Health and Well-being’s Active Aging think tank. The infographic outlines a number of important factors that impact our ability to age well, including personal capacity to react to life’s transitions; individual behaviors and health status; societal factors (including public policy and cultural expectations of aging); and the individual’s ability to engage with their community and remain independent.
