AAF's Film on Rosa Parks School Wins Gold Award at WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival and Award of Excellence from The Communicator Awards

The American Architectural Foundation is proud to announce that its production, "Partnerships for a Sustainable Future: Schools and Community — The Rosa Parks School," was awarded the Gold Award in the category of community development at the 42nd annual WorldFest Houston International Film Festival in April, as well as the Award of Excellence in the category of social issues from the 15th Annual Communicator Awards in May. AAF released this film in early 2009 featuring its 2007 Richard Riley Award winner, The Rosa Parks School in Portland, Oregon, as a model for how multiple partners and creative design can result in a sustainable school and a sustainable community.

WorldFest-Houston was founded in 1961 by producer/director Hunter Todd and is the oldest Independent film and video festival in the world recognizing and honoring outstanding creative excellence in film and video. The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for Communications Professionals. The Award of Excellence, its highest honor, is given to those entries whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field. AAF is honored to be included in this year's list of award recipients from both of these leading awards programs and would like to thank GVI for its help in producing this inspirational film.
