AAF to Convene Texas School Design Institute II in Austin, TX

Building on the successful 2008 School Design Institute in Austin, TX, and in partnership with the Texas Association of School Boards, AAF is conducting a second School Design Institute with four of the largest school districts in Texas: Amarillo ISD, Ysleta ISD; Irving ISD; and Keller ISD. The districts are facing supporting green design, community involvement, incorporating archeological sites, transportation, prototype buildings, and partnering with local community colleges. The 4 districts will meet in Austin in early September for three days with a resource team made up of architects, planners, and landscape architects to work through their specific issues and incorporate the design process into the building process.
